What should Sugar Land homeowners know about Christmas light installation?

Sugar Land runs from established First Colony neighborhoods and lake lots to newer two-story brick and stone homes in Telfair and Riverstone, and they need different treatments. The design starts from which one you actually have.

Two-story rooflines carry the display. Sugar Land's newer brick and stone homes have tall, steep rooflines with multiple gables. Precise custom-cut runs and even spacing trace every peak so the whole front elevation reads clean from the street.

Lake lots are seen from both sides. Many homes in First Colony and Riverstone back onto lakes. Lighting the rear elevation, patio and trees along the water means the home looks finished from across the lake as well as from the street.

HOA communities favor a clean look. In Sugar Land's master-planned communities, a clean, continuous roofline, consistent warm white and tidy landscape lighting fit the look of the street, and the design is planned to stay within your HOA's guidelines.

Built for Gulf Coast weather. Humidity, heavy rain and strong storm gusts reach Fort Bend County all winter. Every run uses commercial-grade weather-rated LEDs, secure clips and GFCI-safe timers, and anything the weather knocks loose is serviced all season.

Sugar Land questions

Asked by Sugar Land homeowners

Can you light the lake side of the house too?

Yes. In First Colony, Riverstone and other lake communities, a lot of homes are seen as much from across the water as from the street, so the design can cover the rear elevation, patio and trees along the lake as well as the front. It's worth raising at the consultation so the design covers both.

Will our HOA guidelines limit the design?

Every community is different, so we work from your HOA's guidelines rather than guess. Most Sugar Land homes read best with a clean warm white roofline and lit landscaping, and the design is planned to fit what your community allows.

Can you reach the tall rooflines on a two-story brick or stone home?

Yes. Steep two-story rooflines are standard work for us. Every run is custom-cut to the roofline and attached with no-damage clips rather than nails or screws, so your brick, stone and shingles stay untouched.

Before you decide

What people ask before they book

What if I don't like the design?

You see it before it goes up. We walk your home, design to its architecture, and show you the plan and the price. Nothing is ordered or installed until you say yes.

Will this damage my roof or gutters?

No. Every clip is made for the surface it sits on — no nails, no staples, no screws. We are fully insured, and there is nothing to repair when the lights come down.

What happens if a section goes dark in December?

Call or text us and we come out. Service is included for the whole season, with no per-visit charge.

How much of my time does this take?

One walkthrough at your home. After that we handle the design, the install, the service calls, the takedown and the storage.

Am I too late to book?

Installs begin October 1 and the calendar fills in the order homes are booked. The earlier you are on it, the more say you have over your install date.
